The European Union (EU) recently adopted a regulation 2021/382 requiring food business operators to establish and provide evidence of appropriate Food Safety culture. With this New Regulation which is in force starting the 24th of March, it is now mandatory to install and maintain a Food Safety culture in each food handling organization in Europe.

This is a milestone and a pivotal moment for the EU food chain.  With this regulation food business operators shall establish, maintain, and provide evidence of an appropriate Food Safety culture by fulfilling requirements such as; the commitment of management, ensuring appropriate training and supervision are in place, raising awareness of Food Safety hazards and providing an open and clear communication between all employees.

Diversey Consulting has always been a strong believer that Food Safety culture and the human factor are prerequisites for effective Food Safety management.

Advancing Food Safety culture by establishing well-defined protocols and procedures, coaching employees through hands-on and customized training and conducting consultative verification are the legitimate subset of our profession and the standard Diversey Consulting approach.  When it comes to Food Safety, companies’ involvement is the game changer.” This is what we believe and continue to drive worldwide. - Antonio Antolin, Director Diversey Consulting
