Virox Technologies and Diversey Sign Deal to Bring the Next Advancement in Sustainable Disinfection to Healthcare Professionals

Nov 08, 2023

Oakville, ON & Fort Mill, SC, November 07, 2023 – Virox Technologies Inc., a leading innovator of patented, sustainable disinfectant chemistries, today announces that it has finalized multi-year licensing and supply agreements with Diversey, A Solenis Company, to bring its latest patented disinfectant technology, Citr-IQ™, to the healthcare sector and others. Diversey is a leading provider of hygiene, infection prevention and cleaning products, and technology, and will add multiple disinfectant products, powered by Virox’s Citr-IQ, to its lineup of professional offerings.

Under the terms of the agreements, Virox will receive undisclosed license fees and royalties for the use of the formulas covered under the patented Citr-IQ disinfectant platform, as well as manufacture products containing the Citr-IQ formulas for Diversey’s North American markets. These Citr-IQ products will be produced in Virox’s LEED® Gold Certified manufacturing facility in Oakville, Ontario, Canada.

Diversey has previously licensed chemical disinfectant technology from Virox with the patented Accelerated Hydrogen Peroxide® (AHP®) platform, which Diversey fully acquired from Virox in 2019. AHP was created by Virox in 1998, and successfully transformed disinfection with a safe, effective, and sustainable patented chemistry. AHP is used across the globe in human and animal health sectors and is the active ingredient in multiple brands, including Diversey’s Oxivir® and Accel® infection prevention platforms.

“As a research-driven company, we are committed to innovating, developing, and improving sustainable disinfectants that allow our users to reduce their environmental impact while providing a superior efficacy and safety profile,” says Randy Pilon, Virox President and CEO. “Partnering once again with Diversey builds on our current 24-year partnership well into the future and ensures that our latest innovation will be accessible on the critical frontlines of infection prevention and control, protecting patients and practitioners in healthcare and other vital sectors – as well as the planet.”

“We are eager to expand our relationship with Virox who shares our vision of delivering infection prevention solutions that save lives without harming the environment,” says Jim Marks, vice president and general manager, North America, Institutional Solutions. “Our customers trust our quality, service, and innovation, and with the proven history behind AHP, we know that Virox’s Citr-IQ will set a new standard for chemical disinfection that will continue to build that trust. Moreover, having Virox manufacture these new products not only ensures we can provide the highest quality, but contributes to our sustainability efforts by relying on their LEED and ISO-certified facility.”

Citr-IQ is a synergistic blend of ingredients that effectively kills pathogens using one of nature’s primary antimicrobials, citric acid, while remaining gentle on users, materials, and the environment. By harnessing the natural disinfectant power of citric acid, Citr-IQ maintains the balance of efficacy and safety that Virox antimicrobial technologies are known for while advancing performance in sustainability and material compatibility.

“Our world-class engineering team at Virox successfully enhanced the safe and natural disinfecting properties of citric acid to develop a technology that outperforms other hospital disinfectants on the market,” says Lee Nesbitt, Virox Executive Vice President of Commercial Markets. “We have not compromised in its development but have focused on strengthening the ideal disinfectant attributes that set our innovations apart.”  Citr-IQ’s synergistic chemistry was developed for superior material compatibility, and yet is powerful enough to eliminate pathogens of concern, including SARS-CoV2, ESBLs, Norovirus, and Candida auris. Additionally, it is:

  • The first citric-acid-based tuberculocidal disinfectant with a 1-minute contact time
  • The first 1-minute tuberculocidal disinfectant compatible with fully biodegradable wipes
  • Safe for multiple surfaces and devices, including plastics and soft metals
  • Compatible with eco-friendly packaging options
  • Made with biodegradable and non-toxic ingredients

Diversey products powered by Citr-IQ will be available under to be determined brands beginning in 2024 in Canada, following later in the U.S.

Deal combines two industry leaders in adjacent but highly complementary markets

WILMINGTON, Del. (USA) — Solenis, a leading manufacturer of specialty chemicals used in water-intensive industries, has completed its previously announced acquisition of Diversey Holdings, Ltd., effective July 5, in an all-cash transaction valued at an enterprise value of approximately $4.6 billion. Diversey is a leading provider of hygiene, infection prevention and cleaning products and technology.

With the acquisition, Solenis has grown to an enterprise operating in over 130 countries with 71 manufacturing facilities and more than 15,000 employees. Headquartered in Wilmington, Delaware, Solenis was acquired by Platinum Equity in 2021. Bain Capital, the majority shareholder of Diversey, will hold a minority stake in Solenis as a result of this transaction.

With continued support from Platinum Equity, we are confident that we will maximize the promising opportunities ahead.”

Panichella stated that the addition of the Diversey line of cleaning and hygiene products and technologies helps create cross-selling opportunities that will make Solenis an even more valuable partner for its customers. “We now have greatly enhanced capabilities to help our customers tackle critical sustainability challenges, reduce their environmental impact and help create a cleaner, safer world,” he said.

"This is a transformational opportunity to bring together two innovative companies that have each been developing solutions for many of the world’s most pressing challenges for more than 100 years,” said Platinum Equity Co-President Jacob Kotzubei. “By joining forces, they're better positioned to accelerate the pace of progress across a wider range of high-growth end markets.”

“We are excited to create a larger, more expansive platform that will enable Solenis with even more opportunities to grow both organically and through additional acquisitions in core and adjacent markets going forward,” added Platinum Equity Managing Director Nathan Eldridge.

New Study from Diversey shows that contact time and disinfectant formulation has a significant impact on the efficacies of disinfectant towelettes on hard, non-porous surfaces

Jun 07, 2023

FORT MILL, S.C, June 07, 2023 (PR Newswire). Diversey Holdings, Ltd. (NASDAQ: DSEY), a leading provider of hygiene, infection prevention, and cleaning solutions has demonstrated in a recent study by Purdue University that disinfectant efficacy against Candida auris (C. auris) varied significantly with both product formula and contact time having a significant impact on disinfectant efficacy. The study suggests that healthcare facilities wanting the best hygiene outcomes should use disinfectants with an EPA approved label claim against C. auris and should ensure the surface is kept wet for the contact time listed on the label.

The Diversey funded, peer reviewed Voorn et al. study, selected for its impact on the hygiene and disinfection industry and published in the Scientific Reports journal by Voorn et al. is part of Diversey’s research into disinfection performance to study environmental surfaces and patient care equipment in healthcare facilities. Prior to this research, little was known about disinfectant efficacy against C. auris when wiping larger surfaces, such as would be found in healthcare facilities.

In healthcare, the fungus Candida auris (C. auris) is an emerging pathogen of concern because it can be found on environmental surfaces and is generally more resistant to disinfectants than other Candida species. The authors tested 5 EPA registered disinfectants on a 1 m2 surface that was intentionally contaminated with C. auris. The surface was wiped with a pre-wetted disinfectant wipe and the efficacy against C. auris was measured at contact times from 30 seconds to 10 minutes. There were statistically significant differences in efficacy between different contact times and disinfectants, showing that when healthcare facilities disinfect environmental surfaces, the choice of disinfectant and amount of time the disinfectant keeps the surface wet are likely to have an impact on the amount of C. auris remaining on the surface after disinfection.

Environmental surfaces and patient care equipment in healthcare facilities are routinely contaminated with pathogenic microorganisms, and the standard intervention to treat most healthcare environmental surfaces would be to wipe the surface with an US-EPA approved disinfectant. By wiping a larger surface (1 m2) and testing 5 different commercially available disinfectants used in healthcare facilities (2 with a C. auris claim, 3 without the claim), the authors concluded that there are significant differences in efficacy between products and how keeping the surface wet during disinfection impacted the efficacy.

New Study From Diversey Shows That Different Choices of Manual Floor Mopping Materials Provide Different Hygiene Outcomes

Apr 24, 2023

UTRECHT, THE NETHERLANDS, April 24, 2023 (PR Newswire). Diversey Europe Operations B.V. (NASDAQ: DSEY), a leading provider of hygiene, infection prevention, and cleaning solutions recently published a study to demonstrate the importance of floor disinfection in reducing risks associated with floor hygiene. The Authors of the study suggest that commercial facilities wanting the best hygiene outcomes and using manual floor mopping as part of their facility hygiene program should consider the use of biocidal floor products with either launderable or disposable flat mops and avoid the use of cotton string mops and neutral cleaners.

Built on Diversey’s prior research into floor hygiene to study the differences in hygiene outcomes associated with the choice of mopping materials when manually cleaning, sanitizing or disinfecting a floor; the peer reviewed Li et. al study published in the InfectionControl.tips journal investigated the removal of Staphylococcus aureus from a floor when inoculated, and how the selection of floor cleaner or disinfectant and the choice of floor mop impacted the hygiene outcome, which resulted in statistically significant differences. The study further found that mopping with a neutral cleaner was inferior to using a biocidal product and using a traditional string mop was inferior to using launderable or disposable flat mops.

The authors of the study found that the use of launderable and disposable flat mops significantly reduced the level of bacteria that were cross-contaminated when compared to the cotton string mop, regardless of product used, demonstrating that mopping substrate may also play some role in the level of cross-contamination that can occur through manual floor mopping.

Floors are the largest surface routinely cleaned in commercial facilities, and are typically contaminated with higher levels of bacteria than surfaces that receive routine hand contact. Studies in healthcare have shown the potential for bacteria on the floor to migrate to surfaces where hand contact frequently occurs, suggesting floor hygiene may play a role in infection risk. When cleaning/disinfecting the floor in a commercial facility, the facility staff may choose between using a floor cleaning machine or manual mopping methods. When manually mopping a floor, the facility staff may choose between traditional cotton string mops or flat mops with either launderable or disposable pads. Additionally the facility would select either a cleaner or a cleaner/disinfectant to use with the floor mop.

Prior to this research, little was known about the difference in hygiene outcomes associated with the range of choices available for floor hygiene. All Diversey funded research is geared towards  providing leading hygiene, infection prevention, and cleaning solutions.

Giuseppe Rossi, General Manager Hotel Splendide Royal Lugano, is the winner of the EHMA Sustainability Award by Diversey 2023

Feb 13, 2023

The EHMA Sustainability Award is given annually in co-operation with Diversey to an EHMA member who has successfully implemented innovative sustainability projects during the previous year.

European Hotel Managers Association EHMA

Every year, EHMA and Diversey present a Sustainability Award to the General Manager member of the Association who has most successfully implemented innovative sustainability and social responsibility projects during the previous year. 2023 winner, Giuseppe Rossi, General Manager of the Hotel Splendide Royal in Lugano, launched five years ago “Splendide Sustainability”, an ambitious long-term programme to minimise the hotel’s ecological footprint and maximise the ethical aspect of corporate social responsibility that convinced the Jury to award him the prize. The award presentation took place at the gala dinner of EHMA’s Annual General Assembly held in Lisbon on February 11th.

“EHMA has recorded this year an unprecedented number of applications to our Sustainability Award, and this is indicative of the growth within our Association on a strong commitment to sustainable development and environmental stewardship, in conjunction with social responsibility and underpinned with strong quantitative results”, comments President Panos Almyrantis, National Delegate of Greece & Cyprus and General Manager of the Grand Hyatt Athens. “All applicants showed a clear focus on teamwork combined with care for the staff and for the community in which they operate. Giuseppe Rossi’s programme showcased the most comprehensive approach and a great mix of social and environmental projects, with CO2 and plastic reduction data as well as a project in Kenya demonstrating strong Corporate Social Responsibility”.

A jury comprised of Verena Radlgruber-Forstinger (EHMA member and Deputy Central Europe), Daniel Daggett (Vice President Corporate Sustainability at Diversey) and Arjan van Rheede (Senior Research Fellow in Sustainability, Hotelschool The Hague) chose this year’s winner.

The winning project, a set of good practices and investments in cutting-edge technological infrastructure and more ethical procurement, positively impacts the environment in several ways, reducing the volume of waste, saving energy and optimising dispersion. Over the years at the Splendide Royal disposable plastic has been completely eliminated and PET reduced by 95%. CO2 emissions have been drastically reduced. At CSR level, the hotel has improved employees’ welfare and has engaged as food supplier the OTAF Foundation, which works in the Lugano region to support people with disabilities. At global level the hotel is collaborating with Karibuni Onlus on the Splendide Shamba project, a farm in Kenya, where the hotel provided the local school with desks, computers and other school supplies. In addition, the hotel provided the village with a 10,000-litre water cistern for watering the crops.

In fact, 11% of all greenhouse gas emitted comes from the food we are wasting”, states Lumitics on their purpose to reduce food waste. Both governments and sector stakeholder have been making it a top priority of finding innovations to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and so has Diversey. Bringing a program that helps curb food waste and make commitments that success bring value to the sustainability programs we offer in lodging, but also in the food service industry.

Diversey completes overseas expansion with acquisition of Australian hygiene manufacturer Tasman Chemicals

Oct 17, 2022

Diversey, a leading manufacturer of agricultural hygiene products, has announced a new brand for its agricultural hygiene division, following the recent completion of the acquisition of Tasman Chemicals, an Australian manufacturer of professional hygiene and cleaning solutions.

Diversey’s dairy hygiene division will now be known as Diversey Agriculture, bringing all overseas agricultural operations together under one brand, following previous variations across countries, including Deosan, as it has been known in the UK and across Europe.

Meanwhile, the completion of the acquisition of Melbourne-based Tasman Chemicals strengthens Diversey’s operational presence and customer experience in Australia and New Zealand, enabling the business to expand its reach into the agricultural sector in this region. For over 55 years, Tasman Chemicals has served the Australian market and has a strong reputation for technical innovation and excellence in dairy hygiene product performance, including market-leading teat disinfection and dairy parlour hygiene chemicals.

Commenting on the acquisition, Rob Kelly, Diversey Agriculture Marketing Director says, “The acquisition of Tasman Chemicals provides us with a strong manufacturing footprint, allowing for greater operational flexibility and responsiveness to customer requirements in overseas markets.”

“In addition, the strong reputation of Tasman Chemicals within the dairy hygiene sector will enable us to grow our position in Australia and New Zealand. Globally, bringing all activity and marketing efforts together under one new international brand of Diversey Agriculture will help to consolidate and strengthen our reputation,” adds Mr Kelly.

“We are very pleased Tasman is now part of Diversey, one of the world’s leading hygiene companies”, said Scott Brocklebank, Farm Sales Manager at Tasman Chemicals. “Both businesses are well-aligned in dairy hygiene product innovation and we look forward to expanding into new areas to continue to support dairy farms across Australia and New Zealand.”

Diversey Launches New SafePack™ Pouches to Streamline Recyclability

Sep 09, 2022

Diversey, a global leader in hygiene, infection prevention, and cleaning solutions, has launched a pioneering initiative: “SafePack™” pouches. They are fully recyclable and the first of their kind that are also UN-approved for classified liquids. These pouches aid their customers in lowering carbon emissions, reducing plastic waste, and meeting the highest standard for recyclability and safety.

This latest innovation is a further step in the company’s corporate ambition. Pouches with concentrated products are one of the most efficient cleaning & hygiene propositions. They allow users to refill reusable spray bottles over and over again, thus improving plastic reuse and minimizing waste. By now ensuring that the pouches are fully recyclable, Diversey is providing a greater contribution to the circular economy.

This was achieved by reconsidering the design, production method, and materials used. The new SafePack™ pouches are made from monolayer Polyethylene; a better option for the environment and easier to be recycled, while the cap and label can be removed. A new production method ensures that no material is wasted.

Diversey’s new SafePack™ pouches are an evolution of their predecessors. Still providing an excellent robust and drip-free design that meets the highest standards for recyclability and safety, they deliver additional  unique benefits:

  • United Nation-approved pouches for ADR (classified) liquids.
  • 1.5L pouches upgraded to 2L; larger in size makes for less waste.
  • Reduce plastic waste.
  • Reduce carbon footprint.
  • Lower CO2 emissions.
  • Meet customers’ sustainability demands.
  • Contribute to the Circular Economy.

Just one pouch holds enough concentrated cleaning solution to fill many spray bottles once diluted, over and over again. For example, one case (6L) of concentrated SumaⓇ Bac D10 kitchen cleaner disinfectant equals 400 Ready-to-Use bottles, and so reduces the carbon footprint from 24.7 CO2 eq. down to 0.11.

This is a real game changer and provides an evident stride towards a cleaner and better world. Antoine Rocourt, Executive Director of Sustainable Development at Diversey, had some closing insights to share:

“For over 95 years, we’ve been developing and delivering innovative products, services, and technologies to revolutionize cleaning within a variety of sectors, whilst protecting the environment.

“We improved our packaging footprint by moving from RTU to concentrated products. Pouches with concentrated products are one of the most efficient propositions for kitchen cleaning & hygiene, building maintenance, and floor care. Spray bottles can be refilled over and over again, thus minimizing plastic waste, using simple, safe, closed, off-the-floor systems.

“Ensuring that the pouches are fully recyclable to new eco-standards and EU green packaging guidelines is a further step-up in our corporate ambition that all of our Core Packaging contributes to the Circular Economy.”

Certain reusable respirators are highly compatible with proven disinfectants

Jul 18, 2022

NEW STUDY FROM DIVERSEY SHOWS THAT CERTAIN REUSABLE RESPIRATORS ARE HIGHLY COMPATIBLE WITH PROVEN DISINFECTANTS EVEN IN CONDITIONS OF EXTREME EXPOSURE

FORT MILL, S.C., July 18, 2022 (PR Newswire) Diversey Holdings, Ltd. (NASDAQ: DSEY) - As a result of the COVID pandemic, there has been a scarcity of single-use face masks/respirators for healthcare workers in many facilities. Healthcare facilities are increasingly providing Powered Air-Purifying Respirators (PAPRs) for staff use, but there has been limited information on the impact of routine cleaning and disinfection in addition to potential damage to PAPR components.

This study, conducted by Diversey’s Global Infection Prevention Application Experts and published in the Journal of Occupational and Environmental Hygiene investigated the risk of damage to PAPR components from routine disinfection and found that commonly used PAPRs are highly compatible with certain disinfectants even in conditions of extreme exposure, demonstrating a low risk of damage to PAPR components from routine disinfection for the tested disinfectants even after a high number of disinfection events. The study built on Diversey’s prior research into the impact of routine cleaning and disinfection on personal protective equipment (PPE) used in healthcare.

“During the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, low supplies of single use respiratory protection forced facilities to reuse medical masks and N95 respirators, even with limited evidence that they could be properly decontaminated between uses. Our study tested four commercial PAPRs with their components exposed to disinfectants for prolonged periods of time to simulate thousands of cycles of manual disinfection, testing for evidence of surface damage from exposure to the disinfectants” commented Peter Teska, Global Infection Prevention Application Expert.

Reusable Powered Air-Purifying Respirators are extensively used in healthcare facilities to protect healthcare workers during the delivery of care, and are an alternative to wearing a face mask or respirator when providing care to patients with certain respiratory infections and provide a more sustainable alternative to protect healthcare workers when used with the right decontamination protocols. Healthcare facilities should test reusable PPE for compatibility with disinfectants used to decontaminate the PPE between uses.

DIVERSEY ANNOUNCES GLOBAL ENERGY SURCHARGE

Mar 23, 2022

FORT MILL, S.C., March 23, 2022 (PR Newswire) Diversey Holdings, Ltd. (NASDAQ: DSEY) a leading provider of hygiene, infection prevention and cleaning solutions, announces its plan to apply an additional price supplement in the form of an energy surcharge that will be effective for all deliveries from Friday 15th April 2022.

The percentage supplement, which has become necessary in order to partially offset incremental inflation and the significant rise in energy, gas and oil prices, ranges from 8% -15% and will remain in place until the increased energy prices return to normalized levels.

A significant proportion of the raw materials and manufacturing for Diversey’s portfolio are by-products of energy intensive processes. The impact of high energy costs and reduced output in these industries has resulted in significantly inflated costs for many businesses including Diversey.

In light of this, Diversey has taken several measures to mitigate the adverse effects, including reducing the use of energy in daily operations, optimizing supply chain, holding higher inventory, and refining the portfolio.

Similarly, Diversey has also taken steps to help its customers manage their energy costs for example through low temperature washing, management information systems, concentrated products and dispensing systems, which offer insights into the usage of energy, in order to identify real savings.

Given the scale of the cost increases, Diversey now needs to implement this surcharge to counter the net effect of the energy surge and the mitigation actions, consistent with others in the industry.

As a critical partner in hygiene, Diversey remains committed to ensuring that its business operations and those of its customers continue to run smoothly without disruption, consistent with its organizational mission.

North Pembrokeshire farmers top the FWGS Milk Hygiene Award on first time of entering!

Feb 07, 2022

This year’s Federation of Welsh Grassland Societies over-all Milk Hygiene competition winners are JJ Peters & Son, Sunnyhill, Crundale, Haverford West, and this on their first time of entering the competition.

The competition, sponsored by Diversey, is becoming a very sought after award, and this year’s competition was no exception. The judges John Griffiths, Coleg Sir Gar/Gelli Aur; and Michaela Rowlands, Diversey (Industry sponsors) both agreed that Sunnyhill are very worthy winners.

Initially they were presented with the Small producer award (up to one million litres per year) and then went on to win the main category for over-all Welsh winners.

The Large producer above 1million litres per year award goes to Jeff Evans, Broadmoor Farm, Wolfs Castle, Haverford West; and the Most improved producer award goes to John Young Farms- Neuadd Farm- Abergavenny, members of Monmouth Grassland Society.

Competition Judges presented the following notes on each farm:

Overall Winner and Small herd category - JJ Peters & Son, Sunnyhill, Crundale, Haverfordwest.

  • 115 cow organic, closed herd.
  • Mr Peters said they are the only organic dairy farm in Pembrokeshire.
  • They set up selling milk through a Milk Vending Machine on the farm in August 2021 which included adding a pasteurising unit.
  • Mr & Mrs Peters are helped by their daughter Annie who is currently a Student at Gelli Aur College. She spends every spare minute she’s not in college or studying helping on the farm with managing the herd and processing the milk, as well as dealing with all of the social media marketing enquiries.
  • Currently less than 5% of the milk produced is sold through the vending machine. They also feed whole milk to rear the calves as powdered organic milk was prohibitively expensive. The rest of the milk goes to OMSCo.
  • They AI all cows - no bull on farm. Holstein type cows housed in cubicles over winter and out to grass the rest of the year. All year round calving & milk recording monthly. Average 7500lt/lactation. Currently under bTB restrictions.
  • Cluster flush system in the Herringbone 10/10 parlour with pre-milking teat dipping & post spraying with Deosan products.

Deosan Michaela Rowlands

The Sunny Hill team with Diversey's Michaela Rowlands

Winner in the large producer above 1million litres category:  Jeff Evans, Broadmoor Farm, Wolfs Castle, Haverford West.

  • 220 cow closed herd milked through a Herringbone parlour. Milks for 10 months then dries off whole herd (Jan & Feb) anything that falls outside this window is sold/culled.
  • The farm does its own AI using sexed semen & has a beef bull to sweep up. Mr Evans mostly does all of the milking himself with the occasional relief milker coming in.
  • No cluster flush system- but does use pre-milking & post milking teat dipping with Deosan products- which he says has contributed greatly to reduced TBC & SCC & cows are happier with softer, not cracked teats.
  • Milk goes to First Milk for cheese. Cow type are Friesian with a bit of Jersey. Grass based, low input system. Av 5500lt /lactation.
  • Old buildings- cubicle housing. Cows turned out at calving in March.  Currently under bTB restrictions. Jeff does not milk record but tests for Johnes 4 times a year.

Deosan Michaela Rowlands

Jeff and Elinor Evans with Diversey's Michaela Rowlands

Most Improved: John Young Farms- Neuadd Farm Abergavenny (Comparing the Quality of the first 6 months production against the last 6 months of the Quota year).

  • 240 cow closed herd, milked through an unusual Trigon parlour (7 x 3).
  • Block calving system, using Genus ABS RMS package for heat detection and serving cows. Average yield is around 9,500lt.
  • Large Holstein type cows.
  • Cows are housed in winter in wooden cubicles with sand bedding which Ben Young says contributed to his lower SCC & TCB.
  • The farm is rented. Currently free of BTB.

FWGS secretary Charlie Morgan said celebrating the achievements of the very best in Welsh farming would inspire others to raise the bar for the whole industry.

“I would like to take this opportunity to pay tribute to the judges who had travelled to visit the competitors to see these farms first hand. The COVID 19 pandemic has impacted greatly but our farmers continue to produce at very high standards’’.

Margaret Peters from JJ Peters and Sons said :

“We are delighted to have won the award in our first year of entering! … Six months ago, we opened a milk vending machine on our farm yard, selling our pasteurised organic milk to the general public.  We are very proud on winning this award, which will obviously be excellent publicity to support and promote the quality of our milk”.

Diverseys SURE® plantebaserede serie har opnået Cradle-to-Cradle certificering på GULDNIVEAU

Jan 17, 2022

Pressemeddelelse: SURE-serien er blevet Cradle-to-Cradle GULD-certificeret

En grøn guldmedalje!

En række af Diverseys plantebaserede SURE-produkter har fået en guld-certificering af The Cradle to Cradle Products Innovation Institute.

Sure C2C

Om Cradle to Cradle

En Cradle to Cradle certificering er et internationalt bevis for et sikkert og bæredygtigt produkt, der er udtryk for en cirkulær økonomi, som anvender genanvendelse. Diversey’s SURE® plant-based cleaning solutions receive Cradle-to-Cradle GOLD certification

Jan 17, 2022

Utrecht, The Netherlands – December 2020 – Diversey is proud to announce that GOLD certificates have been issued for its SURE products by the Cradle-to-Cradle Products Innovation Institute

Sure C2C

Cradle to Cradle Certified™ is a globally recognized measure of safer, more sustainable products made for a circular economy. To receive certification, products are assessed for environmental and social performance across five critical sustainability categories: material health, material reuse, renewable energy and carbon management, water stewardship, and social fairness. A product is assigned an achievement level (Basic, Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum) for each category. A product’s lowest category achievement also represents its overall certification level. The standard requires certification renewal every two years.

SURE is a complete range of vegetable-based detergents and disinfectants/sanitizers for everyday cleaning and hygiene needs for kitchens, facilities, and personal care. SURE products contain plant-based ingredients that are typically derived from by-products of the agro-food industry, originating from sugar beet, maize, straw, and coconut.

GOLD certificates have been issued for the following listed certified products associated with the names: SURE® – Surface Cleaners[1], SURE® – Personal Care[2] and SURE® - Professional Use[3].

Diversey launched SURE in 2015 in collaboration with Salveco® as a new range of plant-based, 100% biodegradable cleaning solutions for kitchens, facilities and personal care. SURE solutions are available in 0,75L, 1L bottles, 5L canisters and also in the unique dosing and dispensing systems of SmartDose™, QuattroSelect, Divermite™, Soft Care Line and IntelliCare.
